Edge Scouting Report 2025

Bird’s Eye View: Positional Analysis

Positional Grade: A-

Teams in need of an impact EDGE are in luck as the 2025 draft offers several potential impact pass rushers including arguably the best player in this draft - Abdul Carter (Penn State). Carter has a game similar to fellow Nittany Lion Micah Parsons and has rare explosiveness for the position. The former LB transitioned easily to more of a standard 4-3 DE in 2024 and fits the athletic model the NFL wants on the edge. There are several pass rushers who rely primarily on speed to get to the QB - James Pearce (Tennessee), Donovan Ezeiruaku (Boston College), & Johnny Walker (Missouri) - as well as those who utilize power to get to the QB (Nic Scourton (Texas A&M), Mike Green (Marshall), & Jordan Burch) at the top of this deep class. Other impact prospects to watch include Mykel Williams (Georgia), Jack Sawyer (Ohio State), and Landon Jackson (Arkansas).
