Good height and frame for a 4-3 DE with good length but lacking some desired mass for playing at the LOS. Extremely athletic and agile with light feet and loose hips. Extremely quick first step. Displays explosive qualities including, foot speed, elite closing ability, and the ability to flatten and bend around the corner that few Edge Rushers can match. 2024 is his first season lining up exclusively on the LOS in an even man front. Developing instincts – will sometimes run himself out of a play being over aggressive. Very effective run and chase player with LB range – his former position. Needs to improve his ability to set an edge and force the run inside more effectively – lack of size can be an issue although he plays with excellent leverage and a wide base. Very instinctive. Excellent read and react skills and is rarely fooled by play action. Athletic enough to shadow the QB in coverage. Adept at dropping back in coverage and easily matching up with RBs in space. Difference maker that must be accounted for or he will blow up the play. Legitimate candidate to go first overall in Green Bay in April.
