Ideal physical measurements – very good height, frame, mass, and length. Large wingspan. Possesses an extremely powerful bull rush. Good quickness and foot agility. Sets a strong edge in the run game – difficult to get around out wide. One of the best run stuffers in his class. Flashes a tremendous first step off the snap. Non-stop motor. Very aggressive pass rusher – sometimes loses track of containment responsibilities against a mobile QB (see first Oregon game v Dillon Gabriel). Lacks a great closing burst but is a persistent and physical pass rusher. Very effective hands fighter - works to gain separation in his pass rush. Does not bend or flatten exceptionally well and is not a true speed rusher. Great motor and effort player.
