Stack 'N Shed's Super Bowl week mock draft has been released and it reveals where the talent and depth of the 2026 NFL Draft class resides. Fourteen of the 32 first-round draft picks in this mock draft are either OL (OT and IOL) or DL (EDGE or IDL) while only eight picks were used on the skill positions of QB, RB, WR, and TE. Only one QB (Mendoza) and one RB (Love) have earned a first-round grade while five WRs and one TE were selected in round one of this mock draft. |
SNS Mock Draft 06 | ||
1. Las Vegas | Fernando Mendoza / QB / Indiana | There is no doubt that Mendoza will be the first selection of the 2026 NFL Draft. Mendoza is the only QB to have earned a first-round grade for April's draft. The only mystery is whether or not the Raiders keep the pick with the Jets drafting at number two overall while also needing a QB. The Jets have plenty of trade capital to entice the Raiders into trading down one spot, including a pair of first round draft picks this year and next. |
2. NY Jets | Rueben Bain / EDGE / Miami, Fl | If the Jets do not trade up, there will be a major hole at QB in NY next year. But the Jets' defense decline has been dramatic and severe - the Jets did not intercept a pass this past season! And after trading Sauce Gardner to the Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys, it is time to add some top talent to the defense. Bain is a well-rounded EDGE who provides a high level run defender as well as an improving pass rusher. |
3. Arizona | Francis Mauigoa / OT / Miami, Fl | The Cardinals consider Love here after losing James Conner and Trey Benson to season-ending injuries but the offensive line was a sieve last year and couldn't open up run lanes or protect the QB. Mauigoa would be an instant plug and play starter at ORT, and along with OLT Paris Johnson, would make up one of the most promising sets of starting OTs in the NFL. |
4. Tennessee | David Bailey / EDGE / Texas Tech | The Titans have spent draft picks and free agent money on acquiring their franchise QB and developing their offensive line and it is time to get Pro Bowl DT Jeffrey Simmons some help. The pass rush has not been the same since Harold Landry left in free agency a couple of years ago (Patriots). Bailey is the most well-rounded EDGE in the 2026 NFL Draft and he would give Tennesee a legitimate outside pass rusher who would start from day one in Nashville. |
5. NY Giants | Jeremiyah Love / RB / Notre Dame | Yes, the Giants are not good - otherwise they would not be picking at number five. But look at their roster and there are very few holes. The Giants have their franchise QB, stud WR, young but experienced OL and two potential elite pass rushers coming off the edge. So, by drafting Love, NY gets a bellcow RB who never has to leave the field and their RB room (Skattebo, Tracy, Singletary, and Love) would be one of the deepest in the NFL. |
6. Cleveland | Spencer Fano / OT / Utah | The Browns need to improve the protection surrounding presumptive starter Shedeur Sanders and decide to draft Fano, the Outland Trophy winner, who has the feet, length, and agility to be the Browns' starting OLT for the next decade. |
7. Washington | Kenyon Sadiq / TE / Oregon | Although the Commanders have needs at EDGE, LB, and CB, Washington decides to give Jayden Daniels a dangerous weapon to deploy in the passing game. Sadiq is the most gifted TE to enter the NFL since Kyle Pitts in 2021 and would give Washington a mismatch piece to deploy against overwhelmed LBs in the NFL. |
8. New Orleans | Caleb Downs / S / Ohio State | The Saints could draft an EDGE or a WR here but decide they can't pass on Downs, a complete safety with no real concerns or issues that could hold him back. Downs has Pro Bowl potential as a rookie and would make the Saints' secondary one of the best in the league. |
9. Kansas City | Peter Woods / IDL / Clemson | The Chiefs fell back to Earth this year as age and injuries took a toll on KC. Now is the time to bring in some young talent to supplement or replace current contributors. Woods is a three-year starter at Clemson with the size, natural strength, and agility to be a reliable starter as a rookie. |
10. Cincinnati | Kadyn Proctor / OT / Alabama | The Bengals' defense was, to put it kindly, atrocious last season and additional defensive talent is needed. But Cincy's season collapsed after QB Joe Burrow was lost for the majority of the season and additional support is needed on the OL. Proctor has rare size and length and has the most upside of any OT in the 2026 NFL Draft. If Proctor refines his technique, he could be a perennial Pro Bowler. |
11. Miami | Mansoor Delane / CB / LSU | The Dolphins biggest need is to determine who their QB should be going forward but this draft is unlikely to provide any answers to that need. Delane is a smooth, athletic, and long CB with the best pure man cover skills of any CB in his class and he gives the Dolphins a future number one CB to deploy on the outside. |
12. Dallas | Carnell Tate / WR / Ohio State | Dallas obviously needs to address their porous secondary and poor pass rush but Jerry Jones likes to add weapons on offense, especially early in the draft. Tate has potential to be a true number one WR with the height, length, hands, and playmaking ability that are amongst the best in his class. |
13. LA Rams (from Atlanta) | Jermod McCoy / CB / Tennessee | LA is being built for the long haul and one issue on defense continued to plague the Rams - LA's CBs lack the size and length to match-up with big WRs down field. McCoy missed the entire 2025 season after tearing his ACL last January but he displayed the sticky coverage skills and ball skills to become a potential Pro Bowl CB early in his NFL career. |
14. Baltimore | Arvell Reese / LB-EDGE / Ohio State | The Ravens are seemingly headed in a new direction after sacking coach John Harbaugh and hiring Chargers' DC Jesse Minter as the new head coach. But Baltimore seems likely to continue to emphasize defense and by drafting Reese, the Ravens would get a versatile, big, and fast LB - an athletic freak with natural power and unreal speed for his size. |
15. Tampa Bay | Jordyn Tyson / WR / Arizona State | Mike Evans is nearing the end of his Hall of Fame career and injuries have caught up with him. Chris Godwin has missed significant time over the last few seasons and rookie Emeka Egbuka hit the rookie wall towards the end of last season. Tampa decides that Tyson gives them a potential number one WR with the combination of size and speed desired on the outside. |
16. NY Jets (from Indianapolis) | Colton Hood / CB / Tennessee | The Jets lost Sauce Gardner in the trade that garnered this pick and struggled all season long in coverage. Improving the talent in the sceondary needs to be NY's top priority this off-season. Hood has a great combination of length, agility, and burst to become the Jets' number one CB within the next season or two. |
17. Detroit | Akheem Mesidor / EDGE / Miami, Fl | Detroit's biggest off-season need is the OL. A young OT is needed since it is likely that OLT Taylor Decker is going to retire as soon as this year. Center needs an upgrade due to aging veteran Grahaw Glasgow's ineffectiveness. But the Lions have failed to add a significant EDGE to play opposite Pro Bowler Aidan Hutchinson and that lack of a consistent pass rush exposed Detroit's injury riddled secondary down the stretch of last season. Mesidor has the size and frame that Detroit likes in their DL. Mesidor is a well-rounded EDGE who can be deployed up and down the line to take advantage of match-ups. |
18. Minnesota | Emmanuel McNeil-Warren / S / Toledo | It appears that future Hall of Fame safety Harrison Smith is going to retire prior to next season and his finding his replacement becomes a top priority for the new GM. DC Brian Flores likes to run aggressive defensive schemes where he disguises blitzes and switches up the defense after the snap. In order to make his defense click, a versatile and smart safety is needed. McNeil-Warren is rapidly climbing up draft boards due to his size, length, agility, and ball skills (has 8 forced fumbles and 5 INTs over his career in the Glass City). |
19. Carolina | Caleb Lomu / OT / Utah | At the end of the Panthers playoff loss to the Rams, OLT Ikem Ekwonu suffered a ruptured right patellar injury and he is unlikely to be available until late next season, if at all. Lomu is the less hyped of Utah's excellent pair of OTs (Fano), but Lomu looks and moves like an NFL OLT. |
20. Dallas (from Green Bay) | Avieon Terrell / CB / Clemson | Dallas' pass defense was the team's Achille's Foot last year that the Cowboys' offense could not overcome. Additional CBs are needed. Dallas loves CBs with premium size and length and Terrell has the size and ball skills to be developed into the team's number one CB. Terrell, whose brother AJ is a star CB for the Falcons, has steadily improved throughout his college career and is peaking as the NFL Draft approaches. |
21. Pittsburgh | Sonny Styles / LB / Ohio State | The Steelers need a young QB to be developed into their future starter but feel that there are no QBs available who have earned a first round grade. Styles has ideal size and athleticism to man MLB in the NFL and the speed and coverage ability to stay on the field for all three downs. |
22. LA Chargers | Kayden McDonald / IDL / Ohio State | It's a strange world when Chargers' coach and former Michigan head man Jim Harbaugh turns to a Buckeye in the first round of the NFL Draft. McDonald is a first-year starter in Columbus and he displays a rare combination of power and speed to become an immediate starter and eventual Pro Bowl-level player. |
23. Philadelphia | Makai Lemon / WR / USC | Rumors out of Philadelphia make it seem that the Eagles will be moving on from star WR AJ Brown. Regardless if there is any validity to the rumors, the Eagles could use a dynamic slot WR to complement Brown and Devonta Smith on the outside. Lemon is comparable to Detroit's Amon-Ra St. Brown in route running and hands and Lemon has the versatility to line up outside and inside at the slot. |
24. Cleveland (from Jacksonville) | Malachi Fields / WR / Notre Dame | After addressing the need for a franchise OLT in drafting Fano at #6, the Browns address the need for a starting WR with the pick they acquired in the Travis Hunter trade. Fields is rising up draft boards after a second half surge that saw the Fighting Irish WR become nearly impossible to cover. Fields' size, hands, speed, and ability to separate make him a likely first round selection. |
25. Chicago | Cashius Howell / EDGE / Texas A&M | The Bears went from worst to first in the NFC North due to a havoc-inducing and turnover creating defense that allowed Chicago to pull off six fourth quarter comeback victories lasr season, an NFL record. Adding another outside pass rusher would allow the defense to become more consistent. Howell may have the most explosive burst to close on the QB of any prospect in this draft and he would make a dangerous pass rushing duo paired with EDGE Montez Sweat. |
26. Buffalo | Brandon Cisse / CB / South Carolina | Coach Sean McDermott's inability to get the Bills to the Super Bowl cost him his job and the poor performance of the defense and especially the secondary, was a major reason why. Cisse has the desired size, strength, and lateral agility to become a starting CB as a rookie. |
27. San Francisco | Denzel Boston / WR / Washington | After trading Deebo Samuel to Washington last off-season and Brandon Aiyuk's time as a Niner is coming to a close, so San Francisco needs to add more talent to the WR room. Boston has excellent size, a huge catch radius, great leaping ability, and reliable hands to become a starting WR as a rookie. |
28. Houston | Emmanuel Pregnon / IOL / Oregon | Houston's biggest concern going forward cannot be dealt with in this draft - has CJ Stroud demonstrated that he is not the QB to lead the Texans forward? Pregnon would strengthen the OL and improve the pass protection around Stroud, allowing him more time to read the defense and hopefully, cut down on the turnovers created by the defense getting in Stroud's face. Pregnon is a twitchy IOL with the agility and power to become a plug and play starter in the NFL with Pro Bowl potential. |
29. LA Rams | Dillon Thieneman / S / Oregon | The Rams consider taking a flyer on QB Ty Simpson (Alabama) here but decide to strengthen the secondary to make one final Super Bowl run with Matthew Stafford as QB. After drafting McCoy with the pick acquired with last year's draft day trade with the Falcons, the Rams decide to add the talented and instinctive ball hawk Thieneman to the Rams' secondary. |
30. Denver | Olaivavega Ioane / IOL / Penn State | The Broncos have moved on from OC Joe Lombardi, hiring Davis Webb as his replacement. Denver is a Super Bowl contender but they need to improve their run game and protect QB Bo Nix better to reach their goal. Ioane is balanced, plays with excellent bend, and is a great athlete with the mobility and agility desired. Ioane has All-Pro potential in the NFL. |
31. New England | Caleb Banks / IDL / Florida | The Patriots converted the easiest schedule in the NFL to a Super Bowl bid but they will not have that scheduling advantage next fall so the talent level needs to increase for the Patriots to make a return visit to the Super Bowl. Banks is huge (6'6" / 335 lbs), extremely athletic and when he keeps his pads low, nearly impossible to block. If Banks has a great combine performance, he could be a top 20 pick in April. |
32. Seattle | Keionte Scott / CB / Miami, Fl | The Seahawks should remain a Super Bowl contender for the next few seasons and have no major holes that need to be filled but every team is looking for improved depth in their defensive backfield. Scott is a great ball athlete who returned two INTs for TDs last season. Scott has the versatility to be deployed throughout the secondary and has starting potential as either a slot or outside CB. |
