SNS 2026 NFL Draft Final Mock Draft - All Seven Rounds! & Draft Night One Notes

The 2026 NFL Draft starts tonight in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and runs through Saturday evening. The NFL Draft is the final stop of the NFL off-season and it serves as the final piece of talent acquisition for NFL teams before the new season truly begins. Next stop are mini-camps, OTAs (Organized Team Activities), UDFA try-outs, and finally, 2026 training camps open in July. 257 prospects will have their dreams come true this weekend but the journey is not over for the more than 1,600 prospects that have declared for the 2026 NFL Draft.

Draft Notes Entering Night One of the 2026 NFL Draft

How Much Does Arm Length Mean?

Based on production, Spencer Fano / OT / Utah, Rueben Bain / EDGE / Miami, Fl, and Cashius Howell / EDGE / Texas A&M deserve to be first-round draft picks but all three prospects measured in with shorter than desired arms at the NFL Scouting Combine - Fano (32 & 1/8" Arms), Bain (30 & 7/8" Arms), and Howell (30 & 1/4" Arms) - and that may depress their value on Thursday. Fano seems locked in as a top 12 pick, as does Bain, but Howell may fall out of the first-round due to his extremely short arms. The NFL loves their prospects to fit within certain prototypes around height, weight, and length and these three prospects may fall own draft boards due to lacking desired length. This is something to monitor on Thursday night.

Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy May Fall Down Draft Boards

McCoy missed all of last season due to an ACL injury and although he is fully healthy, the long-term health of that knee is in question. NFL teams are nervous about his long-term availability due to structural issues within that surgerically repaired knee. Prior to this health news, McCoy was rapidly rising up draft boards but his medical situation may force him out of the first-round on Thursday night. An interesting situation to watch unfold on night one.

How Many QBs Go in the First Round?

Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza is locked in as the first pick on Thursday night and the Raiders believe they have their franchise QB in Mendoza. Mendoza is the only QB to earn a first-round draft grade but the importance of the position and the dearth of available talent is likely to force another QB (or maybe two) into the first-round. Ty Simpson / Alabama has a 50-50 chance to get drafted late in the first-round and is generally considered the second-best QB in the 2026 NFL Draft. Another quickly-rising prospect is Carson Beck / Miami, Fl and there are rumors that a team may trade back into the end of the first-round or a chance to draft the experienced college QB. Based on value, only Mendoza should be selected in the first-round on Thursday night but the NFL is a QB-driven league and that may force another QB or two into the first-round.

A Fast-Rising Prospect Who May Work His Way into the First Round

With the health concerns mounting for Jermod McCoy, this may create an opportuity for another CB prospect to go in the first 32 selections Thursday night. Chris Johnson / San Diego State is gaining a lot of admirers and is shooting up draft boards as Thursday night approaches. Johnson possesses the size and length (6000 / 193 lbs / 30 & 5/8" Arms) desired in an outside CB and his burst and ball skills are impressive. Do not be surprised if Johnson works his way into the back end of the first-round on Thursday night in Pittsburgh.

SNS 2026 NFL Draft Final Mock Draft

The *SNS 2026 NFL Draft Final Mock Draft was conducted utilizing the Big Board 500 & Prospect Rankings and the SNS NFL Team Needs database as primary references to provide guidance in the assemblage of this mock draft. As in any mock draft, the SNS Final Mock Draft is an attempt to blend talent with need and provide a possible path that NFL teams may take this weekend. Expect a lot of trades since there is very little unanimity regarding the prospects in this draft as opinions vary from scout to scout. Add in that some of these prospects seem destined for a certain system that makes them a highly-valued prospect while in other systems the prospect will not even be given a draftable grade by some teams, and this year’s draft could be one of the most unpredictable in recent memory. Let’s take a look at the top of the SNS Final Mock Draft.

Mock Draft 09

SNS Final Mock Draft

(ALL 257 Picks!)

1. Las Vegas

Fernando Mendoza / QB / Indiana

After adding veteran QB Kirk Cousins to mentor Mendoza, the Raiders are ready to develop the 2025 Heisman Trophy winner into the team's franchise QB without needing to rush him into playing as a rookie.

2. NY Jets

David Bailey / EDGE / Texas Tech

The Jets select Bailey over Reese because of the desire to get an instant impact pass rusher and feel that Bailey is more ready to contribute immediately off the edge.

3. Dallas (PROPOSED TRADE w/ Arizona)

Arvell Reese / EDGE/ Ohio State

Dallas acquires pick number 3 in exchange for pick number 12 & number 20 and a third-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft and then select the Buckeye LB who is likely converting to an EDGE, in the mold of ex-Cowboy Micah Parsons.
