The 2026 NFL Draft will be one of the fastest and most talented group of athletes to enter the NFL in decades, if not ever. Specifically, the WRs, TEs, OLT, OG, OC, EDGEs, IDL, LBs, CBs, and Safeties are loaded with plug and play starters that should be ready to contribute from day one in the NFL. The two positions loaded with the most top end talent are EDGE and OT who combined should account for 12-18 of the first 32 picks next month.
The SNS Big Board 500 is SNS' final and most comprehensive list of the best prospects available for the 2026 NFL Draft. The vast majority of the players drafted or signed as UDFA will be prospects populating the Big Board 500.
Big Board Breakdown
The Big Board 500 is a direct reflection of the strengths and weaknesses of the 2026 NFL Draft class. WR and CB are the most represented position on the Big Board 500 with 112 total prospects (22.4%), which indicates the wide array of talent available at these positions. The best talent of this draft is along the offensive and defensive lines where 179 of the 500 prospects (35.8% of the Big Board 500) listed are either OTs, IOL (OG and OC), EDGEs, or IDL. The skill positions of QB, RB, WR, and TE only account for 170 of the top 500 prospects available in April (34% of the Big Board 500). All in all, the 2026 NFL Draft lacks many elite skill position players but there are quality prospects and plenty of depth at OT, IOL, EDGE, IDL, LB, CB, and Safety.

QB
The 2026 NFL Draft QB class appears to be one of the weakest groups of signal callers to enter the league in decades. There is only one, true potential franchise QB in this year's draft - Fernando Mendoza (Indiana), the Heisman Trophy winner. Mendoza is locked in as the first selection in Pittsburgh on April 23rd but no other QB in the 2026 NFL Draft has earned a first-round grade. In fact, no other QB can safely be called a future starter with almost every other draftable QB prospect needing significant development before he is ready to start an NFL regular season game. Several QB prospects are unlikely to be a team’s regular starter but have characteristics that could make them reliable, long-term backups in the right situation.
RB
The 2026 NFL Draft RB class has one premiere talent – Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love – and approximately another dozen or so prospects who look like potential starters or should be solid NFL contributors early in their NFL careers. Jonah Coleman (Washington), Demond Claiborne (Wake Forest), Jadarian Price (Notre Dame), Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen (Penn State), Mike Washington (Arkansas), Emmett Johnson (Nebraska), J’Mari Taylor (Virginia), Kejon Owens (FIU), Seth McGowan (Kentucky), Robert Henry (UTSA), and Kaelon Black (Indiana) all have NFL skill sets and could have productive careers if they go to the right situation in the NFL. This draft also offers an intriguing group of FBs led by Max Bredeson (Michigan), Truman Werremeyer (North Dakota State), and TE/FB prospects Riley Nowakowski (Indiana) and Jaren Kanak (Oklahoma).
WR
The 2026 NFL Draft WR class is a quality class with more than three dozen WRs earning draftable grades for the weekend of April 23rd-25th. There are no prospects who enter the league with the buzz of a Ja’Marr Chase or Malik Nabers but there are at least five prospects who are likely to get drafted on night one. The second day of the draft is when the value of this class will begin to reveal itself. As many as two dozen WRs may hear their names called in the first 100 picks. Solid WRs who should, at a minimum, contribute as rookies should be found in all seven rounds and amongst the UDFA class.
TE
Although there is only one elite talent in this TE class (Kenyon Sadiq / Oregon), the top of the class has excellent depth – the next dozen or so prospects have earned second or third round grades – and looks like it will be one of the best TE drafts in the last decade. This class has some intriguing athletic talents with quality college production – Sadiq, Eli Stowers / Vanderbilt, and RJ Maryland / SMU – and is loaded with prototypical NFL TEs who combine playmaking ability with blocking ability needed to support an NFL rushing attack. Future starting TEs are likely to be found in all seven rounds and amongst a loaded UDFA class. Any NFL team requiring a TE, whether it be a receiving TE, blocking TE, or combo TE, will find a good selection of future starters and major contributors to choose from.
OT
The top of the OT class offers several potential plug and play starters as rookies, although there are more quality ORT prospects than the more coveted blind side protectors. Francis Mauigoa / Miami, Fl and Spencer Fano / Utah, both ORTs in college, are the best prospects in this year's draft class. Other top OT prospects in this year's class includes, Caleb Lomu / Utah, Kadyn Proctor / Alabama, Blake Miller / Clemson, Max Iheanachor / Arizona State, and Monroe Freeling / Georgia. All seven prospects grade out as potential first-round picks. Although there are several other potential starting NFL OTs in this class, the majority of other draft-worthy OT prospects are likely to slide inside and compete for a job at OG or OC, or grade out as backup OTs as pros.
IOL
The 2026 IOL class is not loaded with a ton of future starters but the top of the class offers about a dozen potential starters at the top of the board. The best IOL in this class is Penn State OG Olaivavega Ioane, perhaps the most complete OL prospect in this draft. Other top prospects include guards Emmanuel Pregnon / Oregon, Keylan Rutledge / Georgia Tech, Chase Bisontis / Texas A&M, Beau Stephens / Iowa, and Jalen Farmer / Kentucky. The center class is loaded with potential starters including Jake Slaughter / Florida, Sam Hecht / Kansas State, Logan Jones / Iowa, and Connor Lew / Auburn. Although none of these centers grade out as first-round picks, all of these centers are likely to hear the name called in the second and third rounds on April 24th.
EDGE
The 2026 NFL Draft EDGE class is one of the better classes to enter the NFL in years in terms of both elite talent and excellent depth where eventual starters and major contributors will be found in all seven rounds of the draft and amongst the UDFA class. This draft class offers speed rushers with the ability to bend, flatten, and close with an impressive burst on the QB – David Bailey / Texas Tech, Cashius Howell / Texas A&M, power rushers whose ability to convert speed to power allows them to find success as a pass rusher – Akheem Mesidor / Miami, Fl, Keldric Faulk / Auburn, or are well-rounded EDGEs who combine speed and power to generate pressure on the QB – Rueben Bain / Miami, Fl, Dani Dennis-Sutton / Penn State, TJ Parker / Clemson. Overall, this class has several plug and play starters with at least a few of these EDGEs that are likely to be Pro Bowl-level players early in their NFL careers.
IDL
The IDL class is front-loaded with a talented group of potential rookie starters who should be instant contributors in the NFL. Kayden McDonald / Ohio State and Peter Woods / Clemson are the two best IDL prospects in this class and should be top 20 picks on April 23rd. Caleb Banks / Florida would seem to be another first-round lock if it were not for breaking his foot at the combine, a re-aggravation of an injury that cost him all but three games last season. Lee Hunter / Texas Tech could slide into the first-round, also. Another half dozen prospects should go in the top 75 overall - Darrell Jackson / Florida State, Christen Miller / Georgia, Zxavian Harris / Ole Miss, Rayshaun Benny / Michigan, Chris McClellan / Missouri, and Tim Keenan / Alabama. Overall, this class has potential starters at the top of the draft and a quality group of run stuffers (Domonique Orange / Iowa State, Dontay Corleone / Cincinnati, Gary Smith / UCLA) and pass rush specialists (Zane Durant / Penn State, Gracen Halton / Oklahoma, Kaleb Proctor / SE Louisiana, Landon Robinson / Navy).
LB
The top LB prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft is Sonny Styles / Ohio State, a true athletic freak with a rare combination of size, length, speed, agility, and explosiveness that warrant a top ten selection in April's draft, a noteworthy accomplishment for an off-the-ball LB. The top of this class is loaded with potential top 100 prospects including Jacob Rodriguez / Texas Tech, Anthony Hill / Texas, Jake Golday / Cincinnati, Kyle Louis / Pittsburgh, and CJ Allen / Georgia. There are several other potential starters down the line including Kaleb Elarms-Orr / TCU, Bryce Boettcher / Oregon, Aiden Fisher / Indiana, and Deontae Lawson / Alabama. Another half dozen prospects or so are likely to hear their name called in Pittsburgh before the 257 pick draft ends. There are likely to be as many as a dozen other prospects who have earned a draftable grade. Overall, this is a quality class of LBs who could play in the NFL for a long time.
CB
The 2026 CB class is loaded with quality outside CBs with the size and length desired and a very talented group of slot CBs with the agility and change of direction skills (C.O.D.) to excel in the NFL. Mansoor Delane / LSU is the best CB in this draft class with a combination of size, strength, agility, and ball skills to start as a rookie. Other top outside CBs includes Jermod McCoy / Tennessee, Avieon Terrell / Clemson, Colton Hood / Tennessee, Brandon Cisse / South Carolina, Daylen Everette / Georgia, Domani Jackson / Alabama, Will Lee / Texas A&M, and Davison Igbinosun / Ohio State. Some of the top slot CBs available include D'Angelo Ponds / Indiana, Keionte Scott / Miami, Fl, Chandler Rivers / Duke, and Malik Muhammad / Texas. Four or five of these prospects are likely to get drafted in the first-round on April 23rd with the bulk of these prospects likely to be selected in the first 100 picks in April.
Safeties
NFL teams needing a starting safety are in luck with the quality prospects at the top of the draft board. Caleb Downs / Ohio State is arguably the best prospect, regardless of position, is the rare "high ceiling-high floor" prospect who is very unlikely to be a bust and projects as a perennial Pro Bowler, possibly as early as his rookie year. Dillon Thieneman / Oregon and Emmanuel McNeill-Warren / Toledo project as first-round picks who are plug and play starters in the NFL next year. Bud Clark / TCU, Jalen Kilgore / South Carolina, and AJ Haulcy / LSU all look like immediate contributors and eventual starters in the NFL. Clark, Kilgore, and Haulcy join Downs, Thieneman, and McNeil-Warren as likely top 100 picks in Pittsburgh at the end of April.
