SNS 2025 Mock Draft #6 - SNS Staff Three Round Mock Draft!

Walter Nolen / IDL / Ole Miss
Walter Nolen / IDL / Ole Miss

The penultimate SNS mock prior to the 2025 NFL Draft was conducted by SNS staff on Sunday, April 13th with the odd numbered picks being conducted by SNS Social Media Content Coordinator Zak Everett and the even numbered picks being selected by SNS Editor John Everett. This is a three round mock draft with trades included and it incorporates what the SNS staff thinks the NFL teams will do on draft day and not what the SNS staff recommends they do.

The 2025 NFL Draft features a deep class of RBs (one of the best groups to enter the league in more than a decade), TEs, OTs, EDGEs, IDL, and Safeties but is weak regarding the quality of QBs while WRs and CBs are only average in terms of overall talent and depth. This mock draft reflects this fact as teams lean heavily into this draft's premium positions, using 60 out of the 102 picks (first three rounds) on RBs, TEs, OTs, EDGEs, IDL, and Safeties. Only one QB earned a first round grade (Cam Ward) and this figures to artificially inflate the value of the QBs. SNS Mock Draft #6 reflects this fact as Shedeur Sanders (ninth pick) and Jaxson Dart (24th) find their way into the first round and five additional QBs are drafted on the second day of the draft.

SNS Mock Draft #6

First Round

1. Tennessee

Cam Ward / Miami, Fl

After extensive work conducted on EDGE Abdul Carter, CB-WR Travis Hunter, and QBs Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward, Tennessee has enough confidence in Ward's ability to be a franchise QB and decide to draft SNS' #1 ranked QB with the first pick.

2. Cleveland

Travis Hunter / WR-CB / Colorado

Despite needing a QB, the Browns decide that drafting the versatile Hunter is a way to improve the team on both sides of the ball and increase fan interest on the shores of Lake Erie. Passing on Shedeur Sanders would indicate an interest in trading for Atlanta QB Kirk Cousins later over the weekend.

3. NY Giants

Abdul Carter / EDGE / Penn State

The Giants debate about drafting Sanders but with the coaching staff and personnel department fighting for their jobs, drafting the dangerous Carter figures to bring the most short term value. And Carter has a Pro Bowl ceiling as a havoc wrecking perimeter defender in the Big Apple.

4. New England

Will Campbell / OT / LSU

The Patriots have a franchise QB but they need to significantly upgrade his protection. Campbell started three years in the SEC and is as sound and fundamentally solid as any prospect in this draft. Campbell's future may ultimately be inside at guard but he deserves the opportunity to earn a living as a blind side protector. He should start as a rookie.

5. Jacksonville

Mason Graham / IDL / Michigan

The Jags consider drafting an OT but decide that adding a dynamic front seven player is the way to go. The Jags are tempted by Georgia LB Jalon Walker, a versatile player but decide on Graham, who is perhaps the safest pick of this draft. He plays with outstanding leverage and technique and has a non-stop motor.

6. Las Vegas

Ashton Jeanty / RB / Boise State

Vegas has many needs but decide they cannot pass on a potential generational talent in the Broise State RB. Jeanty's contact balance is superb and his burst through the hole and long speed are elite. Jeanty has special talent.

7. NY Jets

Armand Membou / OT / Missouri

The Jets nearly draw the trigger on selecting Penn State TE Tyler Warren but feel that the gaping hole at ORT must be addressed immediately. The Jets love Membou's upside and movement skills and decide to select him over the more experienced and proven Kelvin Banks of Texas.

8. Carolina

Jalon Walker / LB / Georgia

By drafting Walker, a North Carolina native, the Panthers get a difference making LB who projects as a pass rusher on passing downs and is adept at scraping through traffic and making plays as an off the ball LB on run downs. He gives Carolina a weapon that they've missed since Brian Burns was traded prior to last season.

9. New Orleans

Shedeur Sanders / QB / Colorado

Reports out of New Orleans have Derek Carr potentially missing the start of the 2025 season. The Saints have two young and unproven signal callers backing up Carr - Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler - and New Orleans may not trust them enough to move forward with them. By adding Sanders, the Saints get an experienced college QB with the desired intelligence and field vision to be developed into a reliable NFL starter.

10. Chicago

Kelvin Banks / OT / Texas

The Bears have overhauled their offensive line but still have a huge hole at OLT with the ineffective Braxton Jones the incumbent. Banks, the 2024 Outland Trophy winner, has very good balance and a smooth kick slide. He is a three-year starter who handles both speed and power well. Banks, SNS' #1 ranked OT, has Pro Bowl potential and he should start as a rookie.

11. San Francisco

Jihaad Campbell / LB / Alabama

The Niners are being rebuilt on the fly after discarding much of their roster due to salary cap issues and they could go any number of ways with the eleventh pick. The Niners have plenty of draft capital with eleven picks over the course of the weekend. Under John Lynch, the Niners rarely pass on special talent and Campbell certainly fits that description. Campbell played in space in Tuscaloosa but he displays elite twitch and burst and could be a special pass rusher in the NFL.

12. Dallas

Tetairoa McMillan / WR / Arizona

The Cowboys have far greater needs than WR, namely OL and RB, but one thing Jerry Jones Likes to do is make a big splash. McMillan has a skill set and body similar to Tampa's Mike Evans but questions have arisen about his love and commitment to football. And these questions are hurting his draft value. But if he proves his doubters wrong, he would add an extremely dangerous complement to Pro Bowler CeeDee Lamb.

13. Miami

Nick Emmanwori / S / South Carolina

The Dolphins could use an OLT due to the nearing retirement of Terron Armstead but feel that they cannot pass on a potential special player at another position of need, safety. Emmanwori has a rare combination of size and agility. He is a ball hawk but hits like a LB. He would be a perfect replacement for the departed Jevon Holland.

14. Indianapolis

Tyler Warren / TE / Penn State

Somewhat surprisingly, Warren falls out of the Top 10. But he doesn't fall far. The Colts need to give more weapons to whoever becomes the eventual winner of the Anthony Richardson-Daniel Jones QB competition. Warren is a classic TE who is a quality in-line blocker and a playmaker with the ball down field. Warren grew up idolizing NFL Hall of Famer John Riggins and he plays with a similar style.

15. Atlanta

Will Johnson / CB / Michigan

Atlanta has huge needs in pass defense in both rushing the passer and covering the WR. The Falcons decide to address the CB position with their first round draft pick and select the productive Wolverine. Johnson missed most of last season but had produced two pick sixes prior to his injury. Johnson started for two different playoff teams in Ann Arbor and he could become a true #1 CB in Atlanta.

16. Arizona

Jahdae Barron / CB / Texas

The Cardinals seem poised to be the dominate team in the NFC West with few glaring needs on the roster. Arizona could use another EDGE but feel that a ball hawk like Barron makes the most sense. The Thorpe Award winner flourishes in zone coverage but has the fluidity to handle man coverage. Barron would give the secondary the playmaker they need to complement perennial Pro Bowl safety Budda Baker.

17. Cincinnati

Mike Green / EDGE / Marshall

The Bengals broke the bank on skill position players Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins and gave Pro Bowl EDGE Trey Hendrickson permission to seek a trade. Clearly, Cincinnati needs to utilize their draft capital on defense and the Bengals need reinforcements in the secondary and the defensive line. Green led FBS in sacks in 2024, winning the Hendricks Award as the nation's top DE and offers an extremely powerful bull rush and a great motor.

18. Seattle

Mykel Williams / EDGE / Georgia

Seattle traded QB Geno Smith and WR DK Metcalf in the off season and signed QB Sam Darnold and WR Cooper Kupp in free agency. Although the Seahawks could use an upgrade on the OL, they feel like an untapped talent like Williams is too tempting to resist. Williams has yet to fully play up to his potential but the skill set is tremendous and his last season in Athens was his best. The Seahawks bet on their ability to make him a better pro than college player.

19. Tampa Bay

Donovan Ezeiruaku / EDGE / Boston College

The Buccaneers need to improve their pass rush and ability to put pressure on the QB. Ezeiruaku lacks some size and strength for traditional run stopping ability typically desired in a DE but his quickness, twitch, and closing burst provide an outside pass rushing threat that has been missing in Tampa for quite a few seasons.

20. Denver

Omarion Hampton / RB / North Carolina

The Broncos lost RB Javonte Williams to the Cowboys in free agency and although they have faith in their current RB room, the group could definitely use an upgrade. Hampton is a big, powerful RB with surprising agility considering his size. He immediately improves the group and gives balance to the Broncos offense that has been missing for years.

21. Houston (PROPOSED TRADE w/ Pittsburgh)

Matthew Golden / WR / Texas

Houston trades pick #25 and #89 (third round) for pick #21 and a 2026 4th round pick from the Steelers so that they can jump in front of the Chargers and select Golden, who posted the fastest 40 time (4.29) of any prospect at the Combine. Golden gives the Texans an outside WR to replace the departed Stefon Diggs.

22. LA Chargers

Colston Loveland / TE / Michigan

The Chargers need to add some playmakers to a passing attack that only Ladd McConkey requires game planning for. WRs Luther Burden and Emeka Egbuka are strongly considered here but the Chargers decide to select Loveland, re-uniting him with his former coach. Loveland is a complete TE who is a competent blocker but excels operating out of the slot where his combination of size and speed threatens defenses over the middle consistently on passing downs.

23. Green Bay

Maxwell Hairston / CB / Kentucky

The Packers need to improve their secondary and coverage ability. Hairston is a ball hawk who led the SEC in interceptions in 2023 but missed considerable time last year due to injury. Hairston has a great combination of length, quickness, and speed. He should become a reliable NFL starter.

24. NY Giants (PROPOSED TRADE with Minnesota)

Jaxson Dart / QB / Ole Miss

The Giants trade pick #34 along with picks #99 & #105 for the right to select Dart, the fast-rising Ole Miss signal caller, one spot before the Steelers potentially take him off the board, Dart gets a season to develop behind Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson in the Big Apple.

25. Pittsburgh (PROPOSED TRADE w/ Houston)

Donovan Jackson / IOL / Ohio State

The Steelers are disappointed that Dart is off the board but decide that no other QB is worth a first round pick. Regardless of who takes the snaps in western Pennsylvania this fall, the quality of the offensive line must be improved. Jackson is an All-Big Ten guard who slid out to OLT after Josh Simmons was lost for the season in October. Jackson is a three-year starter who immediately becomes a starter on Pittsburgh's OL.

26. LA Rams

Grey Zabel / IOL / North Dakota State

LA has a small window of contention with QB Matthew Stafford and with the signing of Davante Adams in free agency, they signal the intent to compete for a Super Bowl title. Zabel has steadily moved up draft boards during the postseason evaluation process, most notably shining at the Combine inside at guard and center, where his NFL future lies. Zabel should compete immediately for a starting job in the NFL.

27. Baltimore

Kenneth Grant / IDL / Michigan

It seems that in every draft a quality prospect falls down the draft board and right into the laps of the Ravens. This year that prospect could be Grant, a behemoth of a prospect with great length and natural power. Grant would give the Ravens a massive interior presence to improve the run defense and provide pressure up the middle in the pass game.

28. Detroit

Landon Jackson / EDGE / Arkansas

The Lions bid to make their first ever Super Bowl appearance was primarily derailed due to injuries to EDGE Aidan Hutchinson and IDL Alim McNeil that led to an inability to pressure Washington QB Jayden Daniels in Detroit's upset loss to the Commanders. Jackson has the body and game similar to Hutchinson and fits the need for another perimeter pass rusher in the Motor City.

29. Washington

Shemar Stewart / EDGE / Texas A&M

Stewart looks the part of the ideal pass rusher with a sculpted physique, ideal length, and fantastic workout numbers. But his production is middling and hard to understand how such a physically gifted player could produce so little. Washington bets that they can get more out of Stewart than he showed in college.

30. Buffalo

James Pearce / EDGE / Tennessee

The Bills have plenty of bodies to rotate through DE and OLB positions but none of the players have made a substantial impact in pressuring the QB. Pearce is a dynamic EDGE with plenty of physical talent and the  production to match. Unfortunately for Pearce, NFL background investigations have reportedly found that he rubs some the wrong way in the locker room and the fear exists that he may have a problem with teammates. These type of rumors are not unusual this time of year and they can drive a player's value down below where it actually merits. If Pearce falls this far down the draft board, expect the Bills to jump.

31. Kansas City

Derrick Harmon / IDL / Oregon

In this draft scenario Harmon is another player who falls farther down the draft board than his talent deserves. Harmon has scheme versatility and that flexibility allows him to fit in and contribute immediately for a team without any glaring issues but have to stare down looming cap implications of operating at such a high level for so long.

32. Philadelphia

Malaki Starks / S / Georgia

Every draft it seems that the Eagles add a Georgia Bulldog defender to an already stacked defense. And so it goes with this mock draft. Starks is the prototype of the modern era NFL safety with the agility and movement skills to cover WRs out of the slot and the range and ball skills to roam the secondary and make the QB pay for mistakes.
