2025 Draft Strategy

The Bucs have owned the NFC South for the last couple of seasons and look to continue their division dominance as their competition are in various stages of rebuilding. To contend for the Super Bowl, Tampa needs to shore up a few areas of concern. Chiefly, the Buccaneers need to add a dynamic pass rusher off the edge to aid the dynamic duo on the inside of Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey. Mike Green (Marshall), Nic Scourton and Shemar Stewart (Texas A&M), and Mykel Williams (Georgia) all make a lot of sense to select with the 19th pick. Tampa could also draft either TE Tyler Warren (Penn State) or Colston Loveland (Michigan) to give Baker Mayfield a dangerous target over the middle of the field. On the last two days of the draft, Tampa should look to improve the depth along the offensive line and add some CBs to provide greater competition for that group of players.
