2025 Draft Strategy
The Jets have ended the Aaron Rodgers experiment and hired Aaron Glenn as their new head coach. NY brought in QB Justin Fields and handed him the starting job. Now the Jets need to improve the personnel around him and give him a fighting chance to succeed. Although the Jets used their 2024 first round pick on OT Olu Fashanu, more help is needed and a quality OT, such as Will Campbell (LSU), will likely be available. Campbell's future may be inside at guard due to shorter than desired arm length and NY would be a perfect situation for him. If the Jets do not select an OT at #7, WR Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona) would solve the Jets' need for a WR with size. If Travis Hunter (Colorado) falls this far down the draft board, the Jets will jump on the opportunity to select him. Other areas NY wants to address this April includes getting a more dynamic weapon at the TE position - Harold Fannin (Bowling Green) makes an intriguing candidate - as well selecting a safety with ball hawking skill like Billy Bowman (Oklahoma).
