2025 Draft Strategy
The Chiefs finally met their match in February against the Eagles but are still the class of the AFC and remain the team to beat in the conference. KC traded Pro Bowl guard Joe Thuney to the Bears last month and as the loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl showed, the Chiefs offensive line was already overmatched and that trade does not help. The Chiefs figure to make the offensive line a priority in the draft but whether or not they use the 31st pick on an OL will depend on whether they value that prospect more than they available CB or safety that the defense needs. A prospect the Chiefs should consider at #31is Shavon Revel (East Carolina), a tall and long CB who missed most of his senior year with a knee injury, who offers intriguing upside worth the risk at the end of the first round. In the middle and late rounds, KC should use their remaining draft picks to add some competition along the offensive line and in the secondary.
