2025 Draft Strategy

Dallas has been passed in the NFC East pecking order by the Eagles and Commanders and have seemed to be spinning their wheels over the last few seasons. Improvements are needed up and down the roster. The Cowboys clearly need to upgrade their RB corps after leading rusher Rico Dowdle signed with Carolina. Ashton Jeanty (Boise State) figures to be long gone by the time the Cowboys pick at #12 but figure to have plenty of quality options available in rounds two or three including Kaleb Johnson (Iowa) and Omarion Hampton (North Carolina). If Dallas does not trade up to acquire Jeanty, staying and selecting one of the top three OTs - either Will Campbell (LSU), Armand Membou (Missouri), or Kelvin Banks (Texas) - makes a lot of sense. Later in the draft Dallas needs to restock their WRs and IOL on offense and IDL and safety on the defensive side of the ball.
