2025 Draft Strategy

It took nearly two seasons but Bryce Young has finally ascended to being the team's franchise QB. Now the Panthers need to surround him with a better supporting cast. Carolina could use the eighth pick on one of the best EDGE rushers in this deep and talented draft class or on one of the top OTs to improve Young's protection. Top EDGE prospects potentially available with the eighth pick include LB Jalon Walker (Georgia) who projects as an impact pass rusher on passing downs, teammate Mykel Williams, and EDGEs Mike Green (Marshall) and James Pearce (Tennessee). The Panthers need to improve virtually every position group and should employ the draft the best player available strategy and improve the team's overall athleticism.
