Dani Dennis-Sutton / EDGE | Penn State6060 / 256 lbs / 10.1” Hands / 33.3” Arms 4.63 40 / 1.64 10-yard split / 39.5" Vertical / 10'11" Broad / 6.93 3-Cone Drill |
Very good height, frame, and mass with long arms and a large wingspan – looks the part of a 4-3 DE. Former 5-star recruit out of high school. Flashes elite quick twitch at the snap and typically wins against the OL. Can get skinny and slice through gaps in the LOS. Very strong closing burst. Holds the edge well and fights to maintain containment. Effective hands fighter. Converts speed to power effectively and can push the pocket with power. Quick and agile with good movement skills – light feet and bends well – has the cutting ability and closing burst needed to pressure the QB off the edge. Throws a strong punch to rock back the OT. Very good pursuit skills from the backside. Length and athleticism make him dangerous as a punt and kick blocker – three blocked punts this season. Motor runs a little hot and cold and he disappears for long stretches. Needs to add some additional moves to close on the QB and not just rely on speed or power to finish. Fantastic athlete will unlimited potential as a pass rusher, if he wants it. |

Peter Woods / IDL | Clemson6030 / 298 lbs / 9.1” Hands / 31.2” Arms / 76.5” Wingspan |
Prototypical height, average mass, thick, wide frame, and adequate arm length and wingspan for an IDL. 2023 Freshman All-American. Former 5-star recruit. Has experience as both a 5T in an odd man front and a 3T in an even front and could play either position in the NFL. Plays with excellent bend and natural leverage. Quick twitch displayed at the snap - surprisingly quick for his size and shows good explosiveness. Moves surprisingly gracefully for a man so large – light on his feet with good lateral agility. Naturally strong and powerful and can push the pocket with leverage and strength. More effective as a pass rusher than a run defender and can sometimes get washed out of plays when his pads rise. Needs to improve hand fighting ability – needs to add some power and improve technique. He has quick hands and should excel with NFL coaching. Has starter’s traits and should be a starter by midseason. |

Very good size with the desired height, athletic frame, adequate mass, and long arms and a large wingspan. Very impressive speed – has the range to play single-high safety. Very good quickness and C.O.D. ability – athletic enough to cover TEs, RBs, and some WRs in man coverage. Instinctive and smart with a high football IQ – always seems to be near the ball downfield. Rarely fooled or manipulated by the QB. Closes on the ball in the air quickly – very sudden with an explosive burst. Very good leaping ability and competes at the catch point – high points the ball and fights to make a play. Soft hands for the INT. Superb ball skills - finished with 15 INTs and 20 passes defensed in his career. Quick hands at the catch point to break up passes. Adequate tackling ability in space but tends to drop his head and miss tackles. Adequate strength but can be out-muscled for the ball by big WRs and TEs. Lack of strength limits his effectiveness in run support. |
