2025 NFL Draft & UDFA Analysis

Booker and Ezeiruaku address team needs after the retirement of Zack Martin and the departure of DeMarcus Lawrence in free agency. Revel has excellent size and length and displayed quality ball skills in his last healthy season in 2023. Blue is an explosive RB that has been missing in Dallas for years. Mafah is a powerful inside runner who has had a heavy workload in college and is likely to have a short NFL career. James is a fast, rangy LB in the mode of DeMarvon Overshown. Cornelius played ORT at Oregon but will likely slide inside in the NFL. Toia and Akingbesote are big, strong run defenders that offer limited pass rushing upside.

Kelly and Fairweather are two UDFAs to keep an eye on as training camp approaches. Kelly lacks some desired speed and quickness but is tough and has good hands. In almost any other draft, Fairweather would have been a mid-round selection. He has good size, competes as a blocker, and would be the most dynamic receiving TE on the Cowboys' roster. Neville is a well-rounded TE who will try to earn a practice squad spot. Barron is a hybrid LB-S with three years of starting experience at two positions for the Orange. Smith is a guided missile of a hitter who should excel on special teams.

2025 NFL Draft & UDFA Analysis

Drafting Carter was a no-brainer of a decision for the Giants has his bend and burst are elite. The combination of Brian Burns and Carter rushing the passer will keep offensive coordinators up at night. Dart is an interesting pick. He has tremendous upside with a very good arm and excellent mobility, but he rarely elevates his play in the clutch and makes some head-scratching decisions under duress at times. Alexander is an experienced, well-rounded DT who should start from day one. Skattebo gives the Giants a powerful RB in the mold of Hall of Famer John Riggins. He punishes defenses that try to tackle him. Mbow should start at either ORT or OG early as a rookie. He is a smooth athlete who is just starting to tap his potential.

The Giants went shopping at the UDFA WR smorgasbord on Sunday evening and came away with seven prospects, of which, three have good chances of making the 53-man roster. Felton has a huge catch radius and good hands. He has difficulty getting open against man coverage. Collins was a 5-star recruit who never played up to his hype at either Clemson or Notre Dame. Wells had a quality 2023 season at South Carolina, entered the portal, and never found a role in a loaded Ole Miss offense last season. Terry is a big, powerful TE who lumbers when he runs but is a load to try to tackle. Page battled injuries and inconsistency at Michigan but has the size and speed the NFL covets.

2025 NFL Draft & UDFA Analysis

The Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions for many reasons. Chief among them is that no organization uses the draft more effectively to find stars, role players, and build depth that pays off with title contention virtually every season. Campbell was SNS' #11 ranked player on the Big Board 300 and somehow fell into Philly's lap. Campbell will be a fan favorite from day one - he is a twitched up athlete with special skills. Mukuba is another ballhawk to add to a loaded secondary. Mondon provides a young ILB who excels in covering TEs. Kendall is athletic and highly experienced. Hinton and Williams are two college OTs with excellent size and length. Both will compete for a spot on a loaded offensive line. Powell-Ryland has starting potential. His length and twitch make him a threat off the edge.

The Eagles were not very active in UDFA on Sunday and it is hard to see how any free agent has any chance of cracking the 53-man roster. A notable exception would be Johnson, a shifty and explosive RB who flashes special attributes, including outstanding top end speed. Johnson has difficulty staying healthy but if he can, he will push for a roster spot this fall. Johnson offers an intriguing blend of skill and position versatility as safety and a slot CB.

2025 NFL Draft & UDFA Analysis

The Commanders had few draft selections last weekend but addressed a need in the first round with Conerly, a smooth, long-limbed OT who will compete for the starting ORT job this summer. Amos surprisingly fell to the bottom of the second round despite having a good season in Oxford. Amos has excellent length and quality short area reaction skills. Lane is a quick and sure-handed slot receiver with the toughness to work the middle of the field. Medrano looks to be a great special teams player and a quality depth piece. Croskey-Merritt gives the Commanders a change of pace RB that should open up the outside running game in the nation's capital.

The Commanders effectively used free agency on Sunday evening, adding five prospects who all have excellent chances to at least make the practice squad. McKay has good size and plenty of experience playing three years in the ACC. Barber is a victim of being in a deep DT group. He is a powerful player who flashes twitch and burst. Cypress was a revelation as a Freshman All-American but his play regressed over time. But his length and press ability is intriguing. Rucker and McDaniel will need to excel on special teams to gain a roster spot this fall.
