(Will Campbell / OT / LSU)
2025 NFL Draft - Mock Draft #2 |
1. New England | Will Campbell / OT / LSU | The Patriots need to add talent to their roster as they clearly have a deficit in comparison to the rest of the NFL. By selecting Campbell, New England gets an elite prospect at a position of need. |
2. Jacksonville | Kelvin Banks / OT / Texas | The Jaguars traded starting OLT Cam Robinson to the Vikings to make room for Walker Little to start the rest of the season. Although Little is talented, Banks has the chance to be an elite, All-Pro caliber blindside protector for QB Trevor Lawrence. |
3. New Orleans | Travis Hunter / ATH / Colorado | The Saints decide to select the most talented, pure athlete to enter the NFL in years in Hunter, who needs to decide if he is a WR or a CB. He could be an All-Pro at either position but unlikely at both. |
4. Carolina | Mason Graham / IDL / Michigan | The Panthers need to determine if Bryce Young is their QB or not and this QB class does not seem to offer any sure things. So, Carolina selects the most dominate defensive lineman available in Michigan's Graham. |
5. Cleveland | Tetairoa McMillan / WR / Arizona | Cleveland seems poised to move on from QB Deshaun Watson but being unimpressed by the top prospects in the class decide to select McMillan instead. The Browns have been cycling through WRs and decide that the size and catch radius of the Arizona WR addresses a need with a high ceiling prospect. |
6. Las Vegas | Shedeur Sanders / QB / Colorado | The first QB off the board is the talented but divisive Sanders who flashes greatness but has an arrogant attitude that irritates others. Historically, Sanders seems like a fit as a Raider. |
7. NY Giants | Ashton Jeanty / RB / Boise State | Jeanty gives the Giants a replacement for the departed Saquon Barkley and also deprives a likely target from their division rivals, the Cowboys, who desperately need a featured RB. |
8. Miami | Walter Nolen / IDL / Ole Miss | The Dolphins select the immensely talented Nolen to help solidify the run defense while adding a prospect with dynamic, inside pass rushing skill. |
9. Tennessee | Cam Ward / QB / Miami, Fl | Ward has great leadership skill and a game that is similar to Philly's Jalen Hurts. He potentially fills a void that has been missing for nearly a decade in Nashville. |
10. NY Jets | Carson Beck / QB / Georgia | The Jets brought in Aaron Rodgers to make a run at a Super Bowl title. This has not worked as hoped and it is time to bring in a young QB to develop. Beck has an excellent skill set but has had concerning lapses at times this season in Athens. |
11. Dallas | Luther Burden / WR / Missouri | The Cowboys are disappointed that Jeanty is off the board and decide not to reach for another RB; Burden is a beast with the ball in the open field with a game similar to Deebo Samuel. |
12. Indianapolis | Tacario Davis / CB / Arizona | Davis has rare height and length for the CB position and has the agility to man the island on the outside. Indy needs a lockdown CB and Davis has the skills to fit the role. |
13. Cincinnati | Nic Scourton / EDGE / Texas A&M | The Bengals draft the first EDGE in Scourton, the powerful 4-3 DE who combines strength, quickness, and tenacity to become a force in the Queen City for the next decade. |
14. Tampa Bay | Abdul Carter / EDGE / Penn State | The Bucs could go CB here but feel they cannot afford to pass on an EDGE with rare quickness and burst who has the athleticism to line up at LB on running downs and at DE on passing downs. |
15. Seattle | Mykel Williams / EDGE / Georgia | The Seahawks need to get a young EDGE to pressure the QB; Williams has the highest upside of any EDGE in this class and is just starting to tap into his potential. |
16. LA Rams | Quinn Ewers / QB / Texas | LA needs a young QB to be developed behind aging veteran Matthew Stafford; Ewers has consistently improved throughout his career in Austin and has a skill set similar to Stafford. |
17. San Francisco | Deone Walker / IDL / Kentucky | Walker is huge and athletic and fits what the Niners like in their defensive linemen with the versatility to play in an odd or an even front. |
18. Chicago | Aireontae Ersery / OT / Minnesota | The Bears have been unable to protect franchise QB Caleb Williams and an upgrade in talent all along the line is clearly needed; Ersery has excellent size and length with rare agility for his size. He lacks some experience but his upside is immense. |
19. Denver | Billy Bowman / S / Oklahoma | Denver has a very good defense (last week not withstanding) but still have yet to adequately replace Justin Simmons at safety; Bowman is a game changer with the tackling ability and toughness to support against the run with the range and ball skills to become a perennial Pro Bowl player. |
20. Arizona | James Pearce / EDGE / Tennessee | The Cardinals are in contention in the NFC West due to all of the investments made at WR, TE, and offensive line over the last few drafts. Now it is time to invest in the pass rush by drafting the athletic and quick Volunteer EDGE. |
21. LA Chargers | Kenneth Grant / IDL / Michigan | This one seems kind of obvious, doesn't it? Harbaugh recruited Grant to play for him at Michigan and the Chargers need to get younger and stronger up front - match made in Heaven. |
22. Atlanta | Donovan Jackson / IOL / Ohio State | The Falcons need to get younger on their offensive line and Atlanta has their choice of IOL to draft; Jackson has the desired combination of size and athleticism to line up guard for the next decade. |
23. Green Bay | Quincy Riley / CB / Louisville | Riley has played as well or better than any CB in college football in 2024 and he gives the Packers someone with the size to match up outside with NFL WRs. |
24. Baltimore | Caleb Etienne / OT / BYU | Ronnie Stanley has had a very good career but injuries are taking a toll and a long term replacement is necessary; Etienne has a sculpted physique and all the tools to play OLT for the next ten years. |
25. Houston | Jay Higgins / LB / Iowa | Higgins has outstanding instincts and is an incredibly reliable tackling machine and would give the Texans a leader in the middle of their defense. |
26. Philadelphia | Tyler Booker / IOL / Alabama | The Eagles would like to draft an OT but feel that drafting Booker is better value and gives them a plug and play starter from day one. |
27. Pittsburgh | Kyren Lacy / WR / LSU | The Steelers acquired Mike Williams from the Jets to address the need for additional WR depth. But Williams has battled injuries in LA and NY and is not the player he used to be; Lacy has taken advantage of finally being the featured WR in Baton Rouge and has displayed the speed and playmaking ability to become a starter early in his career. |
28. Minnesota | Malaki Starks / S / Georgia | The Vikings under defensive coordinator Brian Flores likes to blitz and put pressure on the QB, leaving his DBs in man coverage more than any other NFL team; Starks is instinctive with the fluidity and size to neutralize TEs and RBs in man coverage with the ball skills to make QB's pay for mistakes. |
29. Washington | Daylen Everette / CB / Georgia | Everette is a quickly ascending talent who could go in the top half of the first round next April. He has the size, fluidity, and big game experience to flourish in the NFL. |
30. Buffalo | Jermari Harris / CB / Iowa | Perhaps the best indication of the level of respect that Harris has garnered from Big Ten coaches is that he has rarely been tested this year. He has the size, quickness, and ball skills to handle NFL skill out wide. |
31. Detroit | Jordan Burch / EDGE / Oregon | The Lions added Za'Darius Smith from Cleveland at the trade deadline to help fill-in for the loss of Aidan Hutchinson. The need for additional pass rushers remains a concern in Detroit; Burch has the size desired at EDGE and can slide inside and generate pressure as an interior pass rusher. |
32. Kansas City | Jalon Walker / LB / Georgia | The Chiefs have an underrated and dominating defense that is not often given the credit they deserve for why KC has been the best team in the NFL over the last few seasons; Walker is a chess piece that is employed all around the Georgia defense to take advantage of mismatches. Walker is adept against the run, has excellent range, and is developing as a rusher off the edge. |
