The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine is in the books and what an event it was. Over the 23 years that the Combine has been broadcast by the NFL Network, it has become a must-see event, especially for prospective high school and college football players who devour the drills, jumps, and the 40-yard dash and come in fully prepared to dominate every aspect of the Combine. These prospects hire position-specific coaches and nutritionists, train for months, and tackle the event like it was the Olympics. Since every prospect trains for these events for months, they are well aware of any speed deficiencies that they have and choose not to run at the Combine, preferring to run at their Pro Day. This all shows in the individual performances and the aggregate stats that they produce. Every position group beside QB, established a new record for fastest 40-yard dash times:

Keep it locked into SNS! Over the coming days, we’ll break down prospect performances last weekend by looking at some of the top future NFL draft picks and what they displayed on the turf in Indianapolis. We’ll dissect the most athletic Combine in history and preview one of the best drafts in recent history at TE, OT, OC, EDGE, and LB with plenty of starting quality WRs, RBs, OGs, IDL, CBs, and Safeties available to fill NFL team needs.
Teams looking for a QB to jump into the fray and take starting snaps this next fall are going to find this draft much less appealing. Only one QB, likely first overall selection, Heisman Trophy and National Champion Fernando Mendoza of Indiana profiles as a potential franchise-defining QB and the Raiders are unlikely to part with their prize. But this class has an amazing array of big, long, fast, and agile athletes with the ability to change games and seasons at every other position on the field.
