Player Comparison

Brandon Scherff / Washington

Prototypical size for an OL with the desired height, a huge frame, well-distributed mass, and a large wingspan. Plays with great bend and a wide base. Plays on his toes and is quick to react to movement, stunts, and games. Handles a bull rush well – sinks hips and sets a strong anchor. Very good hands fighter who packs a powerful punch, although placement is inconsistent. Very strong grip and has the power to torque the defender around with his upper body strength. Height can work against him when his pads rise or is forced to adjust to sudden movement. When his pads rise, he is susceptible to a strong bull rush. Fighter who battles to the echo of the whistle.
