2025 Draft Strategy
The Bears hope that hiring Detroit OC Ben Johnson will unleash the massive potential contained within QB Caleb Williams. Johnson is considered a creative genius and Williams had special ability in college in creating something out of nothing. Johnson's Detroit offenses were led by a dominating offensive line, a situation Chicago is trying to replicate. The Bears acquired IOL Jonah Jackson from the Rams and IOL Joe Thuney from the Chiefs but still have major question marks at OT. Darnell Wright appears like the solution at ORT but OLT needs a serious upgrade. Fortunately, the Bears should be able to find a potential Pro Bowler at #10 amongst the three top OTs available in this draft - Kelvin Banks (Texas), Armand Membou (Missouri), or Will Campbell (LSU). Later in the draft, the Bears should target CBs, Safeties, and RBs to improve the team's overall depth and talent level in the uber-competitive NFC North.
