2025 Draft Strategy

The Cardinals enter the 2025 NFL Draft with few clear needs. The team has the basic pieces needed to win the NFC West this fall. Arizona has the QB, RBs, WRs, TEs that match up well with any team in the NFC. The OL could use an upgrade and should get attention early in the draft. Selecting with the 16th pick overall, the Cardinals would have their choice amongst a fine OT crop including, Josh Conerly (Oregon), Josh Simmons (Ohio State), and Jonah Savaiinaea (Arizona) or possibly selecting the first IOL off the board in Tyler Booker (Alabama) or Grey Zabel (North Dakota State). Similarly, the defense has plenty of depth but could use a difference maker to create havoc - and turnovers - in the secondary. Jahdae Barron (Texas), Maxwell Hairston (Kentucky), and Quincy Riley (Louisville) make intriguing options in the first round. Adding Josh Sweat in free agency was a boon for the pass rush but another impact rusher off the edge would be a great asset to add in the mid rounds in Green Bay later this month. This year's safety class offers many quality prospects and selecting one on Saturday afternoon would improve the defense's speed and deep coverage ability.
