Over the three decades of scouting that has been conducted by SNS, a constant issue has been compiling a complete list of draft prospects each year and that process is more difficult than one may assume. The NFL Network has a feature on day 3 of the draft where they take Twitter (X) requests called "Stump the Truck" where viewers provide a name of a draft prospect and the production truck conducts a search of their database and play video of said player. Viewers of NFL Network over the last decade or so know that typically the truck does get stumped. Why? Because there is no comprehensive database available. To understand why, is to know that only underclassmen have to declare for the draft. Any prospect that has used up four years of eligibility (without using a redshirt year) are automatically eligible for selection. There is then a separate mechanism for tracking fifth - seventh year college entrants and the Special Eligibility declarations made by underclassmen. And the icing on this cake? Only Special Eligibility declarations are tracked, on a list, by the NFL!
Nature abhors a vacuum and so in consistency with that thought comes the SNS Comprehensive Draft Eligibility (CET) Database! SNS scours the internet, social media, and broadcast media to put together a thorough list of seniors (regardless of year), graduates, and early entrants (underclassmen) to put together what is possibly the most researched list of draft entrants available. No list will be fool-proof but SNS endeavors to compile the most accurate list possible.
